THE ARMAMENT OF USS TEXAS BB35

The USS Texas (BB-35) underwent various modifications and upgrades to its armament throughout its service, featuring a primary armament of 10 × 14-inch/45 caliber guns, a secondary armament of 6 × 5-inch/51 caliber guns and 10 × 5-inch/38 caliber guns, and a tertiary and anti-aircraft armament consisting of 40 × 40mm/56 caliber Bofors guns and 44 × 20mm Oerlikon cannons, which collectively enabled the ship to effectively engage enemy vessels and aircraft during World War II and other key battles.
